Family Orientation Program

Welcome to the Bridgewater State University Community!

We are looking forward to your arrival on campus.

The Family Orientation program provides family members of new incoming Bridgewater State University students the opportunity to learn more about the Bridgewater State University student experience. Family members will have the opportunity to attend sessions on topics such as academics, community, housing, billing and payment, financial aid, campus safety and support and more. Family Orientation is a great way to learn more about the college and connect with other families.

    • It really depends on your schedule. If you attend with your student, you can review what was discussed when you student comes home after their overnight but if you wait and attend another time, you still will have ample time to review all the information learned.

  1. I signed up for the June 16th date and paid $25 for my mom to come and was charged the 25 dollar fee but it says no family orientation date was added when i go to submit all of my reservations. Not sure what happened.

    • The sign up for family is a different site than the new student orientation registration site. Be sure you registered for your overnight program for the 16th by the link provided by Admissions. The Family registration is provided on this site as well as in the letter sent to family members.

  2. If our son is going to his orientation on June 9th should we stay with him and pick another date for family orientation? We don not want to miss out on anything.

    • You are welcome to attend any Family Orientation session. Keep in mind the student program is an overnight and the family program is a one day.
